The village of Schople is now Szepel on my map. It is 9 km ENE of Torczyn in the Ukraine. I do not understand the birthplace of Golas with Petrikau referred. The only Golas I have found is North of Plock and would have no reference to Petrikau. I have written Warsaw archives for a marriage certificate and a birth record of some of my Zacharias family when in the Ukraine (Volhynia) area but have not heard as yet. However as to the birth record of the gr. grandfather born in "Golas" I am confused and do not where to write.
