Nicholas Zacharias, who married Christina (Unknown) had at
least eight children. They were: Catherine Zacharias, February 18, 1810; Georg Zacharias, December 07, 1812; Maria Zacharias, December 15, 1814; Susanna Zacharias, June 27, 1816; Carl Zacharias, November 18, 1817; Margaretha Zacharias, January 06, 1819; Lidia Zacharias, February 24, 1824; and Daniel Zacharias, February 17, 1826.
The information about the children of Nicolaus and Christina Zacharias was obtained form the baptismal records of the Salem Reformed and Lutheran Church, Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County, PA. These records can be found on the Monroe County Gen Web site.
The death date of Nicolaus (March 16, 1875) is reported in his Obituary in the April 1, 1875 issue of "The Jeffersonian". The 1870 Census reports that he was living in Stormsville, Monroe County, PA.
It is possible that Nicolaus Zacharias and Michael Zacharias could have been brothers; they lived in the same region of
Monroe County, PA and were born in the same era, but I have not yet been able to learn the names of the parents of
Michael Zacharias, from whom I am descended. The possible brotherhood of Nicolas and Michael and perhaps the immigrant Daniel Zacharias is undocumented pure speculation!
