I can't help you with the ancestors of John Zachary but he definitey lived in Madison County, VA and not West Virginia. I have read his will and believe that a ggggrandmother named Fannie Zachary was his granddaughter but the record keeping in Madison at this time was so lax that parent's names were not listed in the marriage register.
