My maternal ggrandmother was Ida Mae Zachary who married Hardy Arnold. They are both buried in galilee Bapt Church on the Port Hudson-Zachary rd in Louisiana. My grandmother, their only daughter, Margarette Arnold Lawless, said that her mother was related to Daerl Zachary who sold the land to the railroad for town of Zachary, La. We are related to the Browning's, Brown's, and Stewart's, in the area also. I'm just starting my search so very little if any information can be found. I know that Daerl Zachary had 6 children, 3 boys, 3 girls. I also know that he and family are buried in Redwood Bapt Church a few miles from Galilee. I use to go with my grandmother there to put flowers on their graves. My grandmother died almost 20 yrs ago. As always in hindsight, I wished I'd asked questions then.
