I would like to identify Mary "Polly" Zachary's parental family.
I am researching the family of Henry "Harry" B. Rennolds/Reynolds who m. Polly Zachary Jun 29, 1796, in Madison Co., VA. (A posting concerning this marriage is found in message #242 on this forum.)
The Marriage Bond for the wedding of Henry Rennolds (Madison Co., VA Marriage Certificates/Bonds by year, Bond dated June 29, 1796 (Henry Rennolds and Polly Zachary)) is signed by Henry (as Harry Reynolds) and Benjamin Zachary, witnessed by Robert (illegible) and John Zachary.
The logical candidate family for Mary "Polly" Zachary is that of John Zachary of Madison Co., whose Will is posted in message #341 of this forum. This will names a son, Benjamin, but it does not contain the name of a child, Mary or Polly as such. (I note that a Robert Beal signed as witness to John Zachary's Will and may have been the same person who signed as witness on the Marriage Bond.)
Does anyone have information on Mary's family?
