I am a descendant of Miller H. Dixon & am just getting back into genealogy after a nearly 20 year 'break' so my information is spotty at the moment. Additionally, my mother was actually researching this line. However - Nancy is mentioned in the will of Bartlett Zachry senior in Johnson Co Ark dated 9 Nov 1844 & probated 26 Oct 1846. [on page A 59] "item 5" ..."to my daughter Nancy Dixon five hundred dollars in money also a certain negro boy named john aged about ten or eleven years" Also listed: son John Zachary; son Izamiah/Isariah[?]Zachary; son Bartlett Zachary junior; son Alexander Zachary; daughter judith [fielding?]; grandaughter Irena? Rogers. John Rogers & Bartlett are executors. 2 or 3 more Rogers are signers on the probate part, too. I have a very, very poor quality xerox of the will/probate. "Bartlett" is very clear [and shows up in lots of Johnson co Ark land records] - however my cousin had nancy's father's name as "bartholmew" in his research.
