I was born a ZACHMANN in East Berlin Germany. My father, Detlef Zachmann, was born in 1950 in Berlin and initially had his mothers maiden name BUNTROCK. My grandfather, Werner Zachmann was born 1926( dont know where). He had 2 halfbrothers, Emil Rexin and Max Rexin who died in WWII. Werner Zachmann's wife Liselotte(my grandmother) was born 1932 in Berlin. She died in 1993. Werner and Liselotte had 2 children, Detlef and Astrid (Hoffmann).
Detlef has 2 children (myself and my sister Anke). He married in 1972. Mom's maiden name is ROSE. If anyone can use this information or can tell me something about my family history, i would appreciate it. My dad's side of the family is not very good about keeping records. But I do believe him mentioning southern germany a few times.
