I can add some additional information to what you posted. My grandfather was the Frank Zachmann who died in the Long Island R.R. wreck of Thanksgiving Eve 1950. From his scrapbook I've been able to gather this much information. His parents, of course, were Frank and Elizabeth Zachmann. I don't know much about them other than they eventually divorced. They had two children, Frank, Jr. (born Oct 7, 1917, died Nov. 22, 1950), and Florence (don't have her birthdate but she's in her mid-80s now and resides in a nursing home in the Bayville, NY area). Frank, Jr married Mary Curry (no date available yet), and they had three children, Joseph (my father), Peter, and Nancy. My father passed away Nov 21, 1995, Nancy lives in Bayville and has two children, while Peter resides in California and has at elast one daughter (don't hear from him much). I'd be very interested in finding out who your aunt and grandmother are and where on the family tree you stand. I, too, am also interested in obtaining any geneology information on Zachmann's in NYC as I can only trace that side of my family back to the turn of the century (I can trace my mother's side to the 16th century).
