I believe my great grandmother was Carolina Zachow. Carolina (Lena) immegrated to the USA at about age 7 with her mother, Dora Zachow and three other people - Johann Zachow, age 64, a farmer; Sophie Zachow, age 26, unmarried and Sophie Zachow, age 16, also unmarried. They arrived 4 Nov. 1867 on the "Germanic". The port of departure was Hamburg, Germany. This is recorded information on the passenger list of the "Germanic". From US Census records I have guessed that the Carolina and Dora listed above fit my family's oral history. Dora married August Mueller in Calumet County, Wisconsin and when she died Carolina became his second wife. The Mueller family farm was in Brillion, Wisconsin. (Yes, there were two Sophies listed.)
