MINDEN, LA - Funeral services for Jorge Zaldivar will be held Monday August 24, 2009 at 1:00 pm at St. Paul Catholic Church in Minden. Father Rothel Price officiating. Graveside service at Wiggers Family Cemetery in Ft. Necessity, LA will be at 4:30 pm. Visitation will be from 5-8 pm Sunday August 23, 2009 with a Rosary at 6:00 pm at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel.

Jorge was born June 1, 1937 in Santiago, Chile and entered into rest August 21, 2009 in Minden.

His beloved wife Maria Pia Zaldivar, father Jorge Solo de Zaldivar Prado, infant sister Constanza, and brother Andres preceded him in death.

He is survived by his mother Luz Letelier de Solo de Zaldivar of Santiago, Chile; sons: Jorge Antonio Zaldivar and wife Lori Ann of Minden, Andres Zaldivar and wife Carrie Ann of Dubberly; daughters: Maria Pia Cooper and husband Michael of Marietta, GA, Maria Luisa (Mary) Avery and husband Danny Kay of Minden, and Alejandra Wiggers and husband Rusty of Ft. Necessity; sisters: Talo Solo de Zaldivar Cerda, Talena Solo de Zaldivar Sanchez, Ana Maria Solo de Zaldivar; brothers: Antonio Solo de Zaldivar and Joaquin Solo de Zaldivar; grandchildren: Nicholas Cody Avery and fiancé Britany Pullman, Spencer Heard, Christopher Michael Cooper, Alexander Cristian Avery, Taylor Ann Zaldivar, Russ Bonner Wiggers, Zachary Tyler Zaldivar, Colby Phillip Zaldivar, Jorge Evan Wiggers and Jorge Connar Zaldivar.

Jorge Zaldivar……If Webster's Dictionary had a definition for Jorge Zaldivar, words like strength, enthusiasm, gentleman, intelligence, determination, love, zest, conviction, compassion, friend, father and Tata would be found.

Jorge Zaldivar lived to love and loved to live! He fought for what he believed and believed with conviction.
