Is it at all possible that the Mr. Zane that Marja married may have been of Chinese descent? There were many Zane's in Hawaii. The Chinese name was spelled "Tschen" but pronounced "Zane". Almost all of the Chinese Zanes that left China anglicized the spelling of their name.
