This posting caught my attention while I was searching for information on...

Squire Boone Zane,, Water Tender, First Class, U.S. Navy, 03418739, United States Navy. Entered the Service from Kansas. Died: December 29, 1941. Missing in Action or Buried at Sea. Tablets of the Missing at Manila American Cemetery, Manila, Philippines. Awards: Purple Heart.

His widow, Alezene Hester Zane, lived in Coldwater, Comanche County, Kansas, at the time of his death.

I'm building a webpage in honor of the men from Comanche County, Kansas, who died in service during WWII, and would appreciate hearing from anyone who could provide more information, or ESPECIALLY, a photo of S.B. Zane, for use on the page:

Thanks,
Jerry Ferrin
