Isaac Zane (1745-1795)was the owner of Marlboro Iron Works. I do not know of any connection to your ancestor unless he may have worked at the Marlboro Iron Works and I know of no records regarding workers. You might check the county records in Frederick, VA. Sometimes you can pick up a legal suit or something like that. You might also check tax records if he owned property. Good luck and if I can be of further help, please let me know.
