I am sorry to hear you've been through so much this past year and can truly emphathize, as my life was similar in 2007.

In 2000 you responded with information regarding Stanley and Mary Jane Zane of California. I never got back to you because my computer died and I didn't have the money to replace it. After replacing it a couple of years later, I was so busy with work and family I didn't have the time to continue with researching my family.

As I've recently retired and can now devote some time, I wanted you to know I am back in the system.

Wishing you a happy year.

Lillie, I don't have the name Wisniewski in my files, but I do have a Stanley Lincoln Zane born in the 1880's or 1890's in NJ. His father was James Hillman Zane and mother was Minnie Madison (she could have been married previously and Madison her first married name).
The CA Death Index is now online, and I found Stanley F. Zane b. 5/3/1896 (place not given); died in San Mateo, CA 4/27/1975. (San Mateo is just south of San Francisco. He was 78 years old. I also found Mary Jane Zane, born 7/20/1901 in Pennsylvania. Parents are given as Mother's Maiden: Reed; father's Last name: Donohoe. She died 4/20/1981 in San Joaquin. (Stockton is in San Joaquin County, CA). I hope this is of some help to you. I also checked the Social Security Death Index and could find nothing for either of them. Their SS #s are given on the death records, however: Stanley Zane's was 560-01-8282 and Mary Jane Zane's was 550-30-4150. Since they are not on the SS Death Index, I don't know if you could get their SS applications by writing to Social Security Administration. The letters are all ready to print up. You can find the SSDI on line with the letters.
I hope this has been of some help to you. Please let me know how you do, and if you think Stanley Lincoln Zane is the same as your Stanley Zane, let me know and I will send the rest of the ancestry.
