Patti, I don't know how I missed your message, but I do have info on Isaac Zane and Mary French. Isaac was a son of Jonathan and Hannah Mills Zane. (I descend from Isaac's brother, Asa, and Jonathan and Hannah Mills Zane are my 5th great grandparents).
Isaac and Mary (French) Zane and daughter, Sarah, died of cholera or yellow fever in Zanesville in 1815. Isaac's father, Jonathan and brother, Asa, were granted Guardianship of the children 21 Nov 1815 in Muskingum Co., Ohio. Security: Daniel Converse, Joel Zane, and Asa Zane.
I do have more info to share. Please email me. Click on my name above and it will take you to my email address. Also, if possible I would really love to have a copy of the letter you speak of. Could you photocopy it for me? If so, I will send you my mailing address.
