My name is Alberto Zarate and I, like alot peolpe have some unanswered questions about my family. My father Eduardo Zarate, uncles Saul and Davd, and tia Alma Leticia Zarate, never got a chance to know there father or should I say my grandfather Abraham Zarate. Im not going to lie or sugar coat anything, because my grandfather was a drunk and used to beat my grandmother (Eufemia Gonzales, que ahora esta en los cielos) who recently passed away.
What we do know is that something happened one day because as the story goes, he came home one day do his family and i guess he got into a fight because he was bleeding from his face or something. They say someone might have cut his ear off. The story isn't clear. From what i understand he came home crying one day (drunk of corse) but they say that he felt bad for everything that he did to his famiy, so after that he dissapeard. My father was young when this happend so he never knew the guy.Another piece of information is that his father(my greatgrandfather) was murdered a long time ago in Mexico.
What i can say is that he lived in Matamoros he married Eufemia gonzales, he was a mechanic and still has a brother in Matamoros who is also an automobile mechanic,he should be in his 60s or 70s by now, he might have changed his name and there was rumers that he left for California after all that happened.
If anyone knows anything please conact me with any information.

Thank You
