Diana, I found this while doing some research in the National Archives here in Kansas City which should help you. The source is M1062 roll 1 pg. 411, Correspondence of the War Department Relating to Indian Affairs, Military Pensions, and Fortifications, 1791-1797.
A letter from Gov. Wm. Blount (territorial governor for the region south of the Ohio River) to the Secretary of War no date gives a list of approximately 120 settlers killed by Indians in TN.
Jacob Zeigler was missing after an Indian attack at Zeigler's Station on 6/26/1792 and "supposed to be burnt in his house." Mary, Elizabeth, & Hannah Zeigler were taken prisoner and "purchased by her friends from the Shawanese [sic] warrior for 58 dollars each." According to the document, the Indians which committed the attacks were Creek, Shawanese, & Cherokee.
I don't know if these surnames fit into Jacob's family but since families did tend to cluster, other families suffering killed, wounded or captured at Ziegler's Station were: Michael Shaver, Archibald Wilson, two Negoes (Mary & unnamed) killed; Joel Ellis, Thomas Reese, Gabriel Black, Joseph Wilson wounded; Sarah, Moses, Zacheus [sic], Sarah, Elenor, Mary, & Montilion [sic] Wilson, & Molly Jones captured.
More than you ever wanted to know but I thought it might snip off some loose ends you may have.
Best of wishes,
