Has anyone researched the David Zeigler, farmer, who is on the 1860 census in Lawrence Co., PA, age 54? Living with him is Rachel Updecraft, age 26, and Bevan Lutton, age 2. They are in North Beaver Township. All born in PA.
I have a James Updegraph who married a Rachel, and he later practiced medicine in Beaver Falls/Bridgewater are of Beaver Co. I'm wondering is this might be his wife while he is at med school. In 1850 he is living in Butler Co., as a laborer with the Shel Bryan family, and his own family lives near by. He is 28 in 1850.
