George Zeigler was a Wittness to the
Will of Philip Senft/Sinift 1830, Perry
County, Ohio. Philip Senft B abt 1756, York Co., Pa.,leaving York as a young man & he and his wife
Matlend/Magdeline, maiden name unknown, spent several years in Washington Co., Maryland, then early 1800s relocated to what was then Fairfield Co.,Ohio, in the area that became Perry Co..
Philip Senft was the son of Johan Philip
and Anna Mary Bens/Bentz Senft/Sinift of
York, Pa.who married there around 1754/55. When Johan Phillip Senft came
to America on the Ship Edinburgh, Nicholas Zeigler was also a Passenger,
these 2 men went on to settle near each
other in York Co., Pa. near Zeiglers
Church. Nicholas Zeigler was married
to Catherine Sohn abt 1738, in Germany.
I do not know the region they were from.
I feel certain George was one of Nicholas
Zeiglers children or Grandchildren.
Philip Senft the son of Johan Phillip
had a son Jacob born about 1776, he
married Catherine Sain, while the family
was still in Maryland. Though I have
no proof I wonder if the Sohn and Sain
family may have been the same. I found
no other Sohns came over on the Ship
