Hi,

Here's what I know: the Zeigler and Mikell lines merge through Emma Zeigler (born Brady).

Willie Zeigler is the son of Emma Zeigler and David Zeigler, the latter of whom was a slave owner, who was also a number of years Emma's senior. Willie was born around 1865 to Emma and David. David died in 1873, widowing Emma.

After David's death, Emma took up with a former slave named Fred Mikell. They never married, though he later married someone else.

Emma and Fred produced several mix-raced kids, the Mikell line.

I am not familiar with the Weedons/Wildons, but I am certain about the history outlined above. It all took place in South Carolina.

Now, oddly enough, the census shows another Willie Zeigler who lived around the same time as the Willie mentioned aboved, though those Zieglers apparently lived in Kentucky at the time.

Hope that helps.

~Piper.
