Read your message with interest because you expressed knowledge of the Zeller family in the same general time frame in which I am seeking information on Maria Magdalena Zeller. The area you mentioned is the same general area where my ancestor, Hans George Easterly and his brother Jacob Easterly lived. They eventually settled in Franconia Township, PA and Exeter Township, PA.
We have a reference in our Easterly family bible that reflects that she was a baptismal sponsor for the two children born to Conrad Easterly and his wife, Catherine Zirkle/Easterly. The first birth was 2 Nov 1747 and the second was 4 May 1749. The additional witness at the first was Heinrich Zirkle, brother to Catherine. The second was attended by Hans Georg Easterly, brother to Conrad.
The significance of this is where the children born. We are trying to prove whether they were born in Franconia
Township, Pennsylvania or whether they were born in Forestville, Shenandoah Valley, Virginia.
What I am in hopes of here is that you can tell me whether Maria Magdalena Zeller was born and resided in Pennsylvania or whether she was in Virginia. I have seen reference to a Maria Magdalen Zeller in Maryland, but, I have no way to determine if she was the same person I am seeking.
I have no idea if it will help you, but you are welcome to read the reference to Maria Magdalena Zeller in an article EM Easterly and I wrote. The reference is contained in the time line section of the article about Conrad
Easterly and Catherine Zirkle, Pioneers in the Shendandoah Valley, VA. It was published in the Palatine Immigrant in Jun 2001. It is available on my website:
Can you shed any light on the subject? Any help appreciated
