Edward Homer Zeller, my grandfather, was born in 1876 in Birmingham, Ohio. The children (Frank, Gayle and Myrle) were born in Cleveland and he died in New York in 1934. He was a carriage painter turned auto painter and inventor. He married Hattie Burrell. His father was William A Zeller, born 1850, probably in Lorain County, OH. He was also a carriage painter and lived in Russia, Lorain Co.; Kenton and Norwalk, Huron County; and Cleveland. He married Lucy A Palmiatier. I think his father may have been a William but that's where I lose the trail. I would appreciate any help in tracing him back further.
Edward Homer invented an improved eyeglass fastener for mounting the rimless lenses of an eyeglass--Patented April 9, 1907.
