Hope this helps someone...my great grandmother was Maria Eva Zentner born in Katharinental, Russia...her parents were John and Margaretha Klein Zentner. They were married in Russia and all of their children were born in Speier, Russia. They came to the US in 1893 and homesteaded in St. Joesph, North Dakota (near Bismarck). Katharinental and Speier Russia were colonies settled in the 1700's they originally came from Germany. I have the history of this era if you are interested.
