Dennis, I have been researching the crew of a B-17 bomber which crash-landed in Holland in April 1945. The bottom-turret gunner was Sgt Robert Zercher, whose father's address (Frank Zercher) was York, Pennsylvania. My late cousin, Floyd Ragsdale, was the tail gunner. I was in Holland recently and was shown the crash site, also the house in Apeldoorn where Bob Zercher was caught by the Gestapo and shot. His body was displayed on a street corner next day with a sign "Terrorist" pinned to him. I have made a video documentary for Floyd's family and am trying to send a copy to the families of the other ten crewmembers. Do you know this Zercher family?
