Any connections to Pennsylvania? My grandmother's family (Zick) immigrated from Germany to Scranton around the turn of the century with many other families that were somehow related to them including the Klimachs, Arrats, Michs, and more. They all settled in the same area and later some of them started a Luthern church of which many of their descendents are still members. There is a family of Hildebrandts in the church and knowing the area, there is a very good chance that they could be cousins. Maybe this is a connection for you, maybe not.
