Does anyone know who John Secaford, William Rusk, Joseph Boughman and George Boughmen are and how they fit into the early Virginia Zickafoose line.
I have the Augusta Co. estate record for Jacob Sigerfoss, Sept 19, 1780 where William Rusk is granted administrator because Jacob's wife Catherine refused.
William Rusk appears again in the Augusta Court Records in March 1795: Joseph Boughman and wife, Elizabeth, late Elizabeth Secaford, relict of Jacob Secaford, deceased: George Boughman and Elizabeth, his wife, daughter and heir-in-law of said Jacob Secaford, vs. William Rusk, Administrator of John Secaford - Spa. Chancery, 1st March 1794. (Scotch-Irish Settlement in Va., Augusta County Court Records, Vol. 1, page 405.)
If Secaford is another spelling variation of Zickafoose as this appears to be then did Jacob have a daughter Elizabeth that married Joseph Boughman? And is there yet another daughter to Jacob that married William Ruck? Is John Secaford a son to Jacob?
Any ideas and leads would be greatly appreciated.
