I do not know where the name originated from or how but I have traced the name back to a woman Anna Ziegenfuß in 1562 at a church or a castle. The web site is in German and I am still trying to read it, it is very long. It talks about the castle of Helpede and the town of Wuestung. Also I have traced the name Ziegenfuß to West Prussia where there was a town called Ziegenfuß. From the data I have recieved it is now called Cyguss, Poland. Larry W. Zickefoose
