Although these names are spelled very similiar, I don't believe they are from the same origin. The translation of Ziegelmeyer is :

Ziegel - brick, usually a roof tile
Meyer - foreman or overseer

I'm not an expert on German but I checked the translation of Ziegen and found that it means "goats". From that I would guess that your ancestors were sheperds who tended goats. This would be my best guess unless "goats" means something in German besides the animal. If anyone knows the answer to this for sure, please post it.
