Thanx Joan. All the info that I have on Jacob Zeuch (the Hessian soldier) came from this GenForum site ... so cannot provide anything new at this point ... other than the fact that I visited Niederdunzebach and nearby Eschwege last July.

I suppose there are instances of women bearing children beyond age of 50-60, but I'm a little but skeptical and wonder if perhaps there is a generation missing ... or someething wrong with the mother's birthdate. Jacob enlisting at age 17-25 (depending on whether he was born 1758 or 1750) seems very reasonable.

Meanwhile its only speculation until we get a better handle on his ancestors. .............. Ron in LaPlata, MD
