Tho titled "The Hoffman/Branigin and Related Families", this site of Gregory Hoffman probably has more than you want to know about the Zike family line, and I believe his basic source for much of the pre-1970 data is the same as mine - Harry V. Smith, an earlier Zike researcher.

Come on back with any questions. And a Zike cousin in Germany has taken Jacob Zike's line back {in Germany} to about 1500. If you would like that, let me know.
