Hi, Saumdra -- Thanks for your reply. First a question - is your "Zike book" and mine the same? Mine does give the name as "Kearby" rather than Kearny.

My "Zike book" also gives Joe, Jr's, dob as 10/10/1833. His headstone in Nicholasville Cemetery, however, says 10/10/1838 (and 12/1/1902 as dod). Sorta puts the lie to both our dates - assuming the headstone is right.

I have one sister (Martha) b. Oct. 1822 (makes 1823 suspect), another (Susan) b. abt. 1838 (twins?).

One other bit of trivia - Joe, Sr's, marriage bond was posted 10/19/1819.

All of which, while interesting, tells us very little about Mary Kearby.
