Bob,
For your information the Rev. Harry Virgle Smith not only complied Zike family history, but Harding, Pittman, Sylvester, Wampler, Copenhaver, Hoffman, Archer, Burch, Carmichael, Helms, Abram, Allen, just to name a few of the many names he researched and strove to make as complete as possible. It might also might be of importance to you to take note the time period he did his research, from the 1930's til 1980's. Most of the time, there were no computers, or copy machines available. He did all of this while preaching, teaching, working odd jobs and going to College to further his education. The book you obviously have seen was the ZIKE book, not the Smith book, so why would he put his parents in there. You were to quick to jump to the conclusion that just because he didn't put them in, that he did not research his own parents??? How dare you belittle him in such a way.

He did take his Smith line back SEVEN Generations to where they came over to America, but since you think so little of him, I would not share the information with you. Why don't you get out and look for the information the way he did. Just in case you could not figure out who I am...I am
His grandson and successor to his vast library of family research.
