My wife's mother is a Zipp. I have done a lot of research on the Zipp line as I live near New Braunsfels, Texas where they have an outstanding Sophienburg Library with an enourmous amount of information on the early settlers to Texas. Most came over in the 1840s from various places in Germany. I also have a book which is probably the one mentioned by Peter Zipp. It is titled "The Johann Jacob Zipp Family 1747-1998". It does have a wealth of information on many of the Zipps that are in Texas and particularly in the New Braunfels and Seguin area of Texas. My wife's aunt did the research and published the book. It is resplendant with photos, documents etc. and a real excellent book on the Zipp line.

If I can provide anything please let me know. I am willing to share any news of the Zipp, Foerster, Borgfeld and Stautzenberger lines.
