It took me a while to find out about this posting. I am not sure what I can add. My parent LaVern and Betty Zobeck live on the family farm near Elma, Iowa. Dad bought it from his dad, Frank Zobeck who was born to Joseph Zoback. Yes, the spelling was changed on Frank's birth certificate...which my mother still has...stored in the freezer. Joseph was bohemian/german and came from an area in Czechsolvokia...unfortunately I no longer recall where. I have no idea if Joseph has any siplings or children other than Frank who married Grace Rattler. If you have anything to add let me know. I have found the Zobeck name in Michigan, Colorado, Calif, Alaska and even Chile.
