I am looking for information about the family of Edward M. Zoeller. He was a German Catholic Immigrant who married Mary Ann Smith (from England). He was born June 2, 1864 & died May 10, 1911. He is buried in Western Cemetery in downtown Baltimore. Edward was German Catholic immigrant. His occupation was bricklayer. He was the father of twelve children.
Buried in Western Cemetery in the Zoeller Plot - Location EE 220-221. Listing for death states date of death May 10, 1911, Age 46yrs, 11months, 7 days. Place of death 2149 Vine Street, Baltimore. Funeral home - Joseph B. Cook - Death Certificate#4356. Birth listed on headstone as June 2, 1864.
His children were (that I know of):
2.Edward Phillip Zoeller (We seem to believe that this child of the Zoellers had Polio and was crippled. Hilda (my grandmother) remembers living with her "crippled Uncle Eddie". Buried in Western Cemetery in Zoeller Plot. Location EE 220-221. Listing states Edward Philip Zoeller died January 27, 1945. Age 52yrs, 2months, 18days. Place of death was 2149 Vine Street, Baltimore. Funeral Home - Geo. L. Schwab. Death certificate#25194.)
6.Frank Zoeller (born June 14, 1886 - died November 1969)
7. Anna Louise Zoeller (my great-grandmother) - (born December 25, 1890 - died February 3, 1916) (Died when she was 27 & Hilda was only 5 years old. There appears to be some discrepancy with the birth year....by Hilda's remembrance verbally, it was 1889, but in written documents (Hilda's writing) it was 1894.
Buried in Western Cemetery, Baltimore MD in Zoeller Plot. Location EE220-221. Listing states Annie L. Zoeller died 2-3-1916. Age 26yrs, 1month, 9days. Place of death 2149 Vine Street, Baltimore. Funeral home - Joseph B. Cook. Death Certificate#91984. Birth listed on headstone as December 25. 1890.)
8.Ethel I. Zoeller (born May 22, 1893 - died March 30, 1973)
9.Harry George Zoeller, Sr. (born August 9, 1897 - died November 1966)
10.Vernon F. Zoeller (born July 6, 1900 - died March 14, 1975)
11. Mabel G. Zoeller - (born February 12, 1902 - died March 29, 1986)
If anyone has any information on this family - please email me. I believe it is possible that this line of Zoellers may have come to Baltimore from Kansas as my grandmother (Anna Louise's daughter) remembers her grandmother (Mary Ann Smith Zoeller) talking about life on the prairie in Kansas with the Indians. I know there are still relatives out there - I know some of them but I am still looking for someone who can help me go backwards with this line.
