Jeanette

I too am descendants of the Zook surname. My mother was a zook before she married my father.
My Ancestors name derived from Ulrich Zug who came over from Rotterdam in September 27, 1727 on the ship the James Goodwill. As I understand it from the Zook Genealogy Book some could sign their names and some couldn't so they were signed in my the ship Master, and they put their x there. Also as time went on some would spell the name wrong and it would come out as Zuck,Zouck, Zook and other spellings. I have visted my family grave yard in Arlington Ky and their is different spelling there too. David Zook spelled his name Sook. So I am guessing that they chose to spell their names how they wanted too.

I was looking for your family names in my book but it doesnt match up with what I have. Would be interested to know What you have.

Clarsie
