Don't know if you have this information yet.

The James you are writing about died as an infant. He would have been one of my great uncles. I am descended from Fred Matt Zorn.

The infant James, Fred, and William Walter's father was William Green Zorn.

William Green had a brother named James Augustus Zorn who was killed in the civil war (a lieutenant in the Confederate army) in defense of the City of Atlanta against Gen. Sherman'famous "March to the Sea".

Brothers William Green Zorn, Thomas Warren Zorn, and Andrew Jackson Zorn all returned from the war and moved to other locations. Isaac Cooper Zorn did not participate in the military during the war. Their father, James, pretty much lost his farm after the war, as did most other farmers of the day, but stayed in the Warm Springs, Ga. until his death. The kids all moved away from the post war poverty. A couple of the sisters moved to Central Arkansas together with another family.

Joe
