I am not a relative nor do i know any further information on this person- i am simply posting obituaries found in my local paper.

Mrs. April Bridget (Zorn) Wagner Huff, 69, of Atlanta, GA, passed away on November 17, 2007 of cancer.

She was born in Chicago, IL in 1938, raised in Fox Lake, IL, lived in Peoria, IL, taught school in Chicago and moved to San Rafael, CA in 1969.

Mrs. Huff was preceded in death by her first husband, Paul J. Wagner who she married in 1965. She is survived by her husband, Walter Huff, Jr.; her daughter and son in-law, Paula and Vince Shaw; grandchildren, Lucy and Donovan Shaw of Walnut Creek, CA and son Scot Wagner of San Rafael, CA. She graduated from Grant High School in Fox Lake, IL and went on to graduate in 1959 with a B.A. degree from Monmouth College in Monmouth, IL where she majored in speech and education. Later she completed her Masters degree in Guidance and Counseling at the University of Illinois.

In 1965 she married Paul J. Wagner and was a homemaker for many years raising a son and daughter in San Rafael, CA. Upon her husband's death, she worked for Encyclopedia Britannia, before returning to teaching. She married Walter Huff in 2002 and moved to Atlanta, GA. They had been classmates at Monmouth College 43 years prior and married after both their spouses died.

She was a happy person and always enjoyed life to its fullest. April would light up any room she entered. She loved reading books, going to movies and had a passion for teaching. She enjoyed seeing her students grow and succeed in life. She taught sixth grade, high school English and was a drama director at Limestone High School in Bartonville, IL. She also participated in summer stock theatre in Peoria, IL. She then moved to the Chicago area and became a counselor at Carl Sandburg High School in Highland Park, IL. She was an ESL teacher for the Dixie School District, in San Rafael. She was active in Kiwanis, the Salvation Army and Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority. She was Kiwanian of the Year, President of Children's Home Society and a member of the Board of Directors of the Salvation Army in San Rafael.

Memorial services to be held at St. Vincent Church, San Rafael, CA will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her honor to Monmouth College, 700 E. Broadway, Monmouth, IL 61462 or the Salvation Army, 350 4th St., San Rafael, CA, 94901 or the Hospice of your choice. Arrangements by H.M.
