Starting Sept. 30, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum
message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles
will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will
no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.
Well, Betty, with interest, I read your latest note, and can inform you that one Henry B. Shufelt resided in Knowlton (Ville du Lac Brome) Quebec and was the resident historian of the Brome County Historical Society until his death, circa early 1980s. I purchased his residence in Knowlton (he had no offspring)in 1969, and acquired a 150 page, blue covered book from him on the "Shufelts" (since been misplaced). However, this book is apparently available for view from the Missisquoi Historical Museum, located in Stanbridge East, Quebec. Sounds like the book you have on hand might be the same one referenced, herein.
You may be interested to know that I have a geneolgy tree prepared by a Family Friend, which contains tracking back to the early 1800s. Most of my clan have agriculture ties and resided in the East Farnham, Quebec vicinity.
Please let me know if there is any more fuel I can add to the fire. Best regards
